Flex has developed its own full-featured warehouse management system (WMS) -- “Warehouse Plus.” The system is maintained by an on-staff programmer and IT professional. Having on-site systems staff allows us to be more flexible and responsive to your need for EDI support or other IT requirements. In addition, we avoid computer downtime since we always have someone here to address issues.

» Warehouse Plus supports wireless bar coding that tracks inventory throughout our warehouse.
» Each pallet of product is tagged upon receipt. This tag tracks the customer, product number, lot number, date and time the product arrived, quantity, and location in the warehouse.
» As the product moves through the warehouse, the system tracks its movements and logs all transactions up to the time it ships.
» Warehouse Plus also supports the cross-docking of containers on either a per-product or full-container basis.

Serial number tracking. Flex can track serial numbers and MAC ID numbers from receipt at our dock to final delivery.

Lot control. We offer precise lot tracking for food, pharmaceutical, building materials and other products that require strict traceability by lot.

Custom label production. Flex can produce virtually any type of label you require. Currently we produce UCC shipments labels, UPC labels and customer-specific labels for generic products and private brands.

Visibility. Through our web portal, you gain secure, real-time access to on-hand inventory, shipment status and other data on your products.

Electronic data interchange

Flex has EDI feeds to many customers. Some are true EDI transaction sets, while others are data streams that are e-mailed or taken from FTP sites on a daily basis. Often, IT systems issues become roadblocks to logistics outsourcing projects. Not so at Flex, where our staff professional works directly with you to quickly build the required communication interfaces.
