As our business continues to grow we have now expanded into a second facility in Ontario California, we are looking for a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resource Generalist leads the overall function of human resources ensuring fair treatment of our team members, compliance with current laws and that our policies are understood and followed. Ultimately, the HR Generalist/Coordinator must live and breathe the vision, value and beliefs of Flex Logistics and relentlessly work towards the growth of our team members and the company.

Areas of Responsibilities are listed below. Other duties will be assigned as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Evaluate the recruitment and selection process for the company and ensure the process results in attracting and obtaining high performers.

Work with temporary employment agencies; ensure they provide quality associates.

Annually review and update compensation, benefits, and performance management systems to ensure retention of our team members.

Develop, implement and revise human resource policies and procedures keeping current with all regulations and laws; update employee handbook accordingly.

Provide counseling to managers regarding team members; assist with corrective actions and performance improvement plans. Ensure corrective action policy is followed fair and consistently with all team members.

Plan and conduct on-boarding for new team members that foster the values and beliefs of the company; ensure the team member receives training to be successful in the role.

Analyze training needs to design employee development programs. Conduct training analyses and track performance improvement.

Serve as a liaison between leadership and team members by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and helping to resolve work-related problems.

Maintain records and compile reports concerning data for turnover, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.

Represent the company at employee-related hearings and investigations.

Remain aware of new legislation; advise management of impending legislation affecting the company.

Evaluate the knowledge and skills required to perform various jobs by conducting a position analysis; interview team members, revise job descriptions and identify potential talent.

Experience/Training/Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.

Five years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources.

Knowledge/Skills:

Bilingual English/Spanish is a must

Working knowledge of federal and state employment legislation and regulations and company policies and procedures.

In-depth knowledge of all major categories of employment relationship, including organization development, compensation, employee relations, training, recruitment, statistical analysis and benefits structures and administration.

Ability to develop and establish work-related relationships and display excellent interpersonal skills.

Effective leadership and communication skills that inspire team members; must write and speak coherently where others understand what you are communicating.

Strong decision making and coaching skills with the ability to drive results.

Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Outlook and applications.

Physical and Environmental Elements:

This position requires sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs throughout an 8 hour day; must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach and lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements and to shift priorities easily

Strategic Work:

Establish recruitment and selection program that attracts the right candidate to be hired for the job.

On board new team members and temp employees following established procedure.

Evaluate compensation structure annually.

Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated and followed by managers and team members.

Tactical Work:

Performance reviews are conducted annually for all employees; managers provide job goals that enable growth for Flex and the team member.

HR questions are accurately answered, and any resolutions are based on laws and Flex policy.

Safety meetings are conducted monthly

Flex manual is published when updates or new procedures are developed.

Position Specific:

Process temp employees using the on boarding checklist and follow procedure to determine qualification for the job.

Thorough communication and follow-through at all times for all departments.

Work continually towards self-development to stay current on operations, customer service and management procedures and practices.
