As our business continues to grow we have now expanded into a second facility in Ontario California, we are looking for an Inventory Manager that can maintain accurate records of all inventories in the warehouse by implementing scheduled cycle counts, ensure replenishments are completed and determine root cause for discrepancies. The person in this role will at times have direct contact with our customers regarding inquiries, physical inventories or inventory status updates.

 

Job Description:

 

  • Schedule daily cycle counts and update inventory records accordingly.

  • Manage the resets for slotting and min/max levels.

  • Create efficient and accurate inventory management procedures for replenishments, cycle counts and physical inventories to obtain 99.98% inventory accuracy.

  • Reconcile inventories to warehouse management system records and makes adjustments when necessary.

  • Receive tasks, via email, from the customer service representative that indicate requests made from the customer; tasks may include counts of customer product, inspection of damaged product and/or photographing the damaged product in order to send pictures to the customer.

  • Track minutes/hours of time spent performing each task and records the time on a spreadsheet. Forwards completed month-end spreadsheet to the customer service manager for billing purposes.

  • Complete daily Inventory Discrepancy Report and forward to appropriate managers for review.

  • Ensure each team member completes the daily Activity Sheet.

  • Identify discrepancies and physically look throughout the warehouse to correct the error.

  • Conduct annual inventories as requested by the customer.

  • Randomly select customers each month to conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Determine the cause when orders have been over-pulled; research procedure product by part number, or other identifying numbers, and return to correct warehouse location.

  • Review product put away locations from previous day in warehouse management system

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations to include good housekeeping habits.


 

 

Experience/Training/Education:

Required:


 

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • 2-4 years of experience in inventory management procedures.


 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to scan, verify, and accurately interpret documents used to complete department tasks; collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; prioritize, organize and complete tasks independently; communicate effectively and work cooperatively with staff. Ability to identify and resolve problems with a sense of urgency. Must be able to complete work within specified deadlines. Solid knowledge of computer systems and WMS. Must have basic math skills and be detail oriented. Ability to operate a forklift and cherry picker.

 

Physical and Environmental Elements:

 

An employee in this role will work in the warehouse where a non-controlled temperature condition exists. Employee must stand and/or walk for approximately 7 hours per shift. This position bends, stoops, reaches, pulls, pushes and lifts up to 40 lbs. Occasionally uses a forklift and must climb onto the lift.
