As our business steadily grows we are excited to announce that we are looking for a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Warehouse Supervisor; the primary functions of the Warehouse Supervisor are to oversee the pulling, small parcel and shipping team members for all, or part of, the shift; ensure our procedures, policies and beliefs are followed by all team members; monitor and report production performance and develop goals and procedures to improve productivity and reduce cost and finally to maintain a safe working environment for all employees through safety training programs and conducting walk-through inspections.

 

Areas of responsibilities are noted below. Other duties will be assigned as required.


  • Ensure processes are understood and followed by team members and remain updated in TKO.

  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques to coach and improve the performance of team members.

  • Participate in recruiting, selecting, training, and counseling team members.

  • Communicate job responsibilities and expectations to direct reports; delegate tasks that align with the expectations of their job.

  • Administer performance reviews for direct reports.

  • Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and request necessary repairs.

  • Oversee building maintenance and report problems to Asset Manager for repair.

  • Manage programs to keep tools and equipment in designated areas.

  • Conduct weekly walk-throughs focusing on product placement on racks, team member work habits and overall condition of the warehouse.

  • Understand the warehouse layout and what happens when product is not put away properly.

  • Ensure team members understand slotting concepts.

  • Understand the RF scanner to perform multiple put-away functions.

  • Visually assess racking availability to consolidate product.

  • Follow inventory control manager’s warehouse layout to optimize space and customer efficiency.

  • Report discrepancies, damages and any inventory stored in wrong location to the inventory control manager.

  • Assist team member with WMS issues. When unable to resolve bring to the attention of the appropriate manager (IT or inventory control).

  • Ensure customer issues are thoroughly researched and conveyed to customer service.

  • Ensure compliance of safety and good housekeeping programs.

  • Prepare reports, compose professional emails and provide clear communication with all team members and management.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety standards.

  • Engage team members regarding our vision, daily expectations and Great Plays.

  • Ensure loss prevention policies (restricted areas, no cell phones, exiting building, etc.) are followed. Contact the operations manager or HR regarding any violations.

  • Responsible for team member recognition, mentoring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

  • Identify and document corrective measures to eliminate or reduce waste.

  • At the end of each day review put-away report and determine if temp labor will be needed for the following day.

  • Responsible for security of company property.

  • Responsible to close the building at the end of each shift.


 

 

Work Environment:

This position works in a warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels, non-controlled temperature conditions and must stand and/or walk for approximately 6 - 8 hours per shift. This position bends, stoops, reaches, pulls, pushes, and lifts up to 30 lbs. Ability to operate a forklift and move freight within the warehouse and onto trucks.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a 3PL warehouse environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members and achieve planned results

  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to adapt communication styles to individual team members

  • Knowledge of retail compliance orders

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Knowledge of AIB certification requirements and OSHA regulations

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
